Dave Huber grew up outside Toronto but now lives with his wife of 46 years on a ranch high in the Rockys in Colorado. He has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and masters in ocean engineering. He joined Exxon's deepwater drilling group out of university and was posted to Singapore. Over the years he has lived in several countries of the world and worked himself up to eventually becoming Sr VP for Drilling and Production for an independent Oil Exploration and Production company that he cofounded that was eventually put on the NYSE. He retired in 2018 and was asked to help turn his deepwater experience into mining for critical minerals. He is now working part time as Sr. VP Business Development for Ocean MInerals which has the world's largest undeveloped cobalt reserve in 15,000' water depth in the Cook Islands. This is his last meeting with us as he has been asked to address the National Security Council's critical minerals committee in Washington next week before he heads home. But will be back next year!
