It was such an honor having Matt Jacobs speak at our rotary today. We learned a lot of what being a federal prosecutor entails and are super grateful to have such an outstanding member living in our community.

As the grandson of a World War II veteran and two Holocaust survivors who came to this country as refugees, Matt has always been deeply proud and grateful to be an American.
That pride and gratitude led Matt to pursue a career as a federal prosecutor, where he investigated and prosecuted some of America’s worst enemies and most dangerous criminals – including al-Qaeda terrorists, child sex traffickers, mafia bosses, street gang members, opioid traffickers and many others. For his success in protecting our country and communities, Matt earned “Prosecutor of the Year” and “True American Hero” awards from national law enforcement organizations.

Born and raised in Ventura County, Matt attended Conejo Valley public schools and was valedictorian of his Thousand Oaks High School class. He went to UCLA on an academic scholarship (graduating in the top 1% of his class) before earning a master’s degree in public affairs from Princeton and a law degree from NYU.
Matt learned the importance of service from his mom, a third-grade teacher. He learned the value of hard work watching his dad build a small business from scratch.
Matt and his wife Julie are blessed to be the parents of Benjamin, Alexander, and Abigail. They live in Westlake Village, just miles from Matt’s childhood home in Thousand Oaks.
Matt shared a lot of stories about his time serving as a federal prosecutor.
Today, Matt has his own practice Jacob Law Group.

Thank you!
