When the sun sets on Strathearn, history doesn't sleep — it transforms.
For one night only, the Rotary Club of Simi Valley turns a 19th-century historical park into a Victorian world that never was: airships and automatons, gears and gaslight, top hats and goggles. Gilded Gears After Dark is an evening steampunk festival for the 21-and-over crowd — live music under the stars, costumed characters roaming the grounds, artisan and steampunk experience vendors, a grand raffle, and a full bar pouring craft beer, local wine, and two signature cocktails you won't find anywhere else on Earth (because we invented them).
Stroll the grounds. Sip something with smoke curling off the top. Dance to a live band on a historic ranch as the lanterns come up. Come costumed — Victorian finery, brass goggles, full airship-captain regalia — or come as you are and let the night do the rest.
And here's the part that matters after the music ends: every ticket funds Rotary Club of Simi Valley community programs. You're not just attending the most original night of the year — you're paying it forward to your own hometown.
The daytime Steampunk at Strathearn festival (presented by Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District, Oct 3–4) is family-friendly. When evening falls, the grounds become ours.
Strathearn is an intimate historic venue — capacity is limited, and this event will not be repeated until next year.
